William Greenslade was a partner with John Acraman in the Bristol Plane making firm of Greenslade & Acraman on Thomas Street, Bristol. He was also described as edge-tool makers, ships’ chandlers and anchor smiths. His 2 sons Donald and Arthur joined Clifton in 1912-13, his brother Ernest joined Clifton in 1897-98.
Ernest Hain Greenslade
He was born on the 18th December 1872 in Clifton, Bristol. He was educated at Clifton College from 1887 to 1890. He was a Boot Manufacturer.
P.A.Greenslade
Donald Acraman Greenslade
He was born on the 16th February 1895. Educated at Charterhouse School. Son of William Greenslade of Westbury-on-Trym. The little I do know is that he joined up with the Glouscester Regiment in World War 1 and became a Major. He was captured and spent a period of time in a POW camp in Poland. He survived and returned to England. He died of a heart attack in the early 1940s.
He was born in 1894. An inventor. He died in World War 2.
