3 brothers played for Clifton. The sons of John, a Pharmacutical Chemist from Blackwell, Derbyshire, and Julia Charlotte Boucher (nee). Their sister was Edith Boucher, a tennis player who won 2 Gold Medals in the 1912 Olympics. Born on 28th November 1878 in Bristol. She died on 16th January 1951 in Bristol. After returning from a spell in Canada, where her husband had a business, she won ten Welsh titles between 1912 and 1923. She was a finalist twice at Wimbledon. She married Clifton player Francis Hannam who died in World War 1.

George Herbert Boucher
He was born in 1877 in Clifton, Bristol. He was a solicitor. He joined Clifton RFC in 1901-02. He died on the 2 nd December 1970 at his home Maybank in Leigh Woods.
